Ama­teur radio enthu­si­asts known as Hams have been send­ing a voice sig­nal 384,955 km to the moon and back — known as Earth-Moon-Earth com­mu­ni­ca­tions (EME) — in an advanced cel­e­bra­tion of the Apollo 11 mission’s 40th anniver­sary next month.
